FAQs
What is the recovery process like?
We provide a structured environment where accountability is the foundation. Our process is designed to guide you through the stages of recovery, offering the support you need to rebuild your life.
Who is eligible to join the program?
At the moment, River Recovery Homes is solely focused on women in recovery. We are currently accepting applications from women to our upcoming sober living residence in the Austin, TX metro area. We welcome women of all backgrounds who are committed to sobriety and seeking a safe, supportive environment to rebuild their lives. Our community will likely include men-identified in the future, but at the moment our sole focus is on women. If you're male-identifying, you are welcome to send in an inquiry and get added to our waiting list for when we have a home available for men.
How is accountability maintained?
Accountability is maintained through regular check-ins, weekly drug testing, two in-house AA meetings each week, and weekly house meetings. Curfews are based on each resident’s accountability phase. Residents are required to get and keep a sponsor and be employed or enrolled in school. Monthly house gatherings also help strengthen connection and build a supportive recovery community. Every River Recovery Homes -resident gets a list of housekeeping responsibilities that she's held accountable for.
What kind of support is available?
We offer a range of support services including individual, and life skills workshops. Our mission is to provide the tools you need to build a life beyond your wildest dreams.
How long does the program last?
The duration of your stay is determined by your individual progress and goals. We provide a flexible structure that allows you to move forward at your own pace while maintaining the necessary support.
